Harits

Prior to joining Team Programme, Harits was unemployed for almost 8 months after finishing his studies and this led to him developing anxiety. Harits felt demotivated and disheartened after months of unsuccessful job applications and felt the pressure of not having a job due to him being the only support for his family. Through the rigorous courses offered in the programme, Harits acquired the essential skills needed to secure employment. Within days of completing the Team programme, Harits secured a job as an enforcement officer. As the sole breadwinner of his family, Harits has been able to support his family financially through his employment. Harits’ journey in rediscovering himself is an inspiration to young people in Malaysia as well as those across the Asia region.

Harits mentioned that the values he gained from Team Programme has helped him in setting his career path and goals as well as to kickstart his career. “I believe that this is only the beginning for me towards achieving greater heights from this day onwards. I hope that Team Programme can prosper long into the future in order to provide opportunities for more youths moving forward.”

After completing Team Programme, Harits was was selected as the Regional Winner for Asia in the 2021 Prince’s Trust Global Award, an award that recognises outstanding young people on a Prince’s Trust programme across the world.
